Ooh yeah, 1983 all over again. Gotta buy this. Hope it’s as good as I remember it.

I was browsing the IMDB for Omen IV information (don’t ask), and I ended finding out that Faye Grant, together with others on the original cast of V (never heard of it before your post here), have signed up for “V: The Second Generation”, a mini series on NBC set for 2007.. (IMDB link)

I watched the series as a kid, and watched again a couple years ago. Unfortunately, I wasn’t as good as I remember. :(

Yeah, I remember V from my youth as well. It was scary then, but what I remember of it makes it seem like it has all the elements of a bad TV mini-series. I suspect that it’ll play like an inferior Alien Nation, and if not, then that horrible Earth: Final Conflict (which seemed so derivative of V from the outset) probably put the nail in the coffin on this.

    Wait…

… it was good to begin with?

Are you sure that this was the same, “Freddy Kruger eats a mouse”/”ran out of SFX cash, so we taped cocktail forks to their tongues”/”Hey, if Dynasty can have a chick fight…”/”Space Baby to the Rescue!” series I remember?

Because, you know, now I can actually treat it as the drinking game it so richly needed to become.

Ha.. I always liked that miniseries. They filmed some of it on location in my neighborhood in Los Angeles. I remember coming home from work one day and in the spot where I usually parked my car, there was an alien spacecraft with a bunch of security guards standing around it.
