activeCollab - open source project management and collaboration tool
Free and open source (PHP) web-based project management tool; very similar to Basecamp from 37signals.
There’s a nice screencast on the site that shows you what kinds of things it can do.

We’ve started using ActiveCollab instead of basecamp. I made a post a few days ago about how to get ActiveCollab working on Windows Server 2003 on IIS as it didn’t work after install http://www.philroche.net/archives/activecollab-windows-server-2003-iis6/
. I like it alot and if you look at the code, it is easy to follow and I reckon quite easy to customize.
Shame it isn’t free anymore.
