The foam weatherstripping around our front door has a bunch of gaps in it (so much so that when painters were pressure washing the other day, water was actually getting into the house!). I went to Osh thinking I’ll just buy some more, install it, and be done. Turns out that when I got to the store I realized that there’s about 8 million different types of weatherstripping for doors. So I bought nothing and resolved to go home and research what’s the best. At home I came across a page from the U.S. Department of Energy on weatherstripping that talks about the advantages and disadvantages of the various types. I’m still not sure what to choose (suggestions?). Maybe I’ll print this out and bring it with me to Osh tomorrow.
