On Saturday, at around 4:35 pm, we were on University Ave. in Palo Alto between High St. and Emerson St. when I saw a parking space open up. I slowed down and came to a stop and a few seconds later, the car behind us slammed into us.

No one was hurt, but my rear bumper sustained a bit of damage. The other guy’s car was fine.

I called my insurance company tonight - in theory, I should hear from the adjuster tomorrow.
