First my PowerBook started putting itself to sleep. So I had it replaced with another PowerBook that crashes seven times a day. One day last week my FreeBSD desktop and the PowerBook managed to crash simultaneously. Just now the X and virtual consoles on my Ubuntu machine at home got jacked and I eventually had to do a reboot.
Even virtual machines hate me. I can get 99.9% through the an install of OS/2 Warp in VMware Player, but then it hangs (although I only got 75% of the way through with QEMU). So apparently even operating systems from the mesozoic age have got it in for me.
And it’s not just computers. Our IOgear KVM at home, which had been working perfectly, decided to somehow fry itself in a way that it adds a severe blue tint to any video signal going through it. Unusable, so we’re going KVM-less until I get another one.
My theory is that I’ve developed the ability to emit powerful EMP pulses that disrupt the delicate electronics of computers. Or maybe I’m watching too much “Heroes“.
(Save the penguin. Save the world.)
My girlfriend has the same effect on electronics. I developed a Ctrl-S Pavlov reaction when she comes near the pc.
