  1. I have a certain skepticism about a report on energy costs written by people who apparently don’t know how to spell “joule”, even if that is a “non-friendly (to consumers) term”.

Anywho, we’ve been quite happy with our Prius. However, the appeal of the car for us was not just the hybrid engine, but also the other geek appeal items, like the nav system and Bluetooth. At the time, the Prius was pretty much the only non-luxury car that had those options. Today, they are available in almost any car.

  2. Get a diesel, Clean burning bio-diesel fules, much better value for the money and no toxic batteries.

  3. Running your vehicle’s air conditioning is no worse for your gas mileage than driving with your windows down. As your vehicle speeds up, air flow creates a drag against the vehicle, making the engine work harder and hurting gas mileage. In fact, air conditioning can be a more efficient option at higher speeds.
