Have you installed the Bezel HUD (not "Bezel") Interface? It seems that this causes this crashes. I switched back to the standard interface and my constant silent crashes are gone. They moved the location of the new download, and QuickSilver didn't get the message. Check what version you're using in the About Quicksilver menu. If it's not β54 (3815), then get the new version at: http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/14831 It's been a lot less crashy for me ever since. I ran into this problem as well.
