GNU Smalltalk 2.2 package for Debian and Ubuntu

Cincom support: impressive

OK, now I am really impressed with Cincom.

First, my friend Chris Smith has trouble installing on Gentoo and somebody from Cincom sees it on his blog and responds immediately. The issue turns out not be with Cincom but with Gentoo’s glibc.

I’d easily gotten Cincom Smalltalk (also known as VisualWorks) working on my PowerBook, but it would not install on my Ubuntu (Dapper Drake) Linux box. It took a while but I eventually found the solution.
