Job Description

Yahoo! Personals, one of the company’s fasted growing premium services, seeks a Product Manager 1, who will take ownership of the Yahoo! Personals search experience. You will identify market requirements, defined the roadmap for key product components, lead the development process, and track product usage and customer satisfaction metrics. You will work closely with a highly talented team of marketing managers, designers, engineers, business developers and customer care representatives, who are passionate about delivering the world’s best online dating experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assume end-to-end responsibility for the planning and development of Yahoo Personals Search: identify customer needs, generate market and product requirements documents, and drive product implementation; Lead cross-functional teams (market and usability research, marketing, design, engineering, customer care, and data tracking & reporting) to launch and continuously improve features and functionalities; Define, track and improve key business and product success metrics; Develop deep understanding of online dating landscape and identify areas for competitive differentiation./p>

REQUIREMENTS: Use search products avidly and have strong ideas about how to make them better; Have a passion for building technology products that impact users’ lives; Ability to innovate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; Excellent product, analytical, and business sense; Highly organized and can prioritize and execute efficiently; Ability to prioritize among competing opportunities and articulate the financial and strategic impact of decisions; Ability to think through every aspect of the user experience; Outstanding and approachable team player and relationship builder with the capability to coordinate people and activities across multiple functional areas; Demonstrated organizational leadership in a matrix environment; Strong communication and presentation skills; Proven track record of developing, launching and marketing consumer technology products on time and within budget; Experience with data-driven consumer marketing; At least 5 years of product management experience with 1-3 years in a high volume, web-based consumer product company preferably with a search and/or community focus; BA/BS required, MBA highly desirable.
