For those of you die-hard, command-line UNIXy types, try w3m. As UNIXy as I am, I’ll probably stick with Firefox as my main web browser (because, heck, I like graphics), but w3m might be nice on the odd occasion that I am feeling overstimulated by graphics (?), experiencing wrist pain from mousing, or just feeling plain Amish.
I just tried it and it is a rather nice program. No graphics, but at least it renders pages in color and it provides a zillion keybindings, reminiscent of both Emacs and vi. You could probably get around very fast in this program once you get the hang of it.
But then the web isn’t just about raw speed.
