This happened to me once before with the Retrospect Express HD software that came with my Maxtor OneTouch external hard drive, but I don’t remember how I fixed it :-(.

I did a disk check and now I’m defragging and hoping that clears up the problem.
Maybe if that doesn’t work, then I’ll try the steps that I took to fix my other problem. Completely different problem, but I suspect that blowing away the Retrospect metadata might be a cure for a lot of consistency problems.
