I have one of those RSA key fob things that cycles randomly through numbers for authenticating to my company’s VPN. Unfortunately, it’s all too common for me to leave the thing at work or to leave it at home or to have it fall between the couch cushions. Rather than add bulk to my keychain, I wanted to have it very close to the computer and very easily accessible at a glance.
One idea is below. I hang a binder clip off one of those flexible USB lights and then attach the key fob to the binder clip. That way the key fob is always easy to see and not likely to fall between the couch cushions.
Heh, I once saw one of those taped to the protruding part of a wireless card.
The funniest solution, though, was developed by a guy at Overture when they first introduced the fobs here; he left the fob at home in front of a webcam!
That is classic!
