Our air conditioning works but not super, super well, so I’m worried that it’s going to get pretty hot at home. Luckily, we were out today so we didn’t get to find out.
I’ve got the air conditioning working quite a bit better than before by removing wood slats in the fence that a previous owner installed around the compressor, hosing it off a bit, and straightening some of the bent fins. It’s much better, but it still has trouble getting the household temperature below 80 during the day. Might have to get an HVAC guy out to check everything and see whether it needs a freon recharge.
Count yourself lucky you have air conditioning at all.
Here in the UK we had a heatwave last week with temperatures up to 35 C (95 F) and we’re sans air conditioning here. Makes you want to go down to the air conditioned shops just for the cooling effect!
