Aquateen HungerForce

Browsing through our TiVo Suggestions tonight, this one caught my eye. I’m not sure why 1, but TiVo thought we would like a show called Aquateen Hungerforce. It’s a cartoon about a bunch of talking fast food items. Weird.

1. It’s probably because we watch South Park, because TiVo also suggested The Simpsons and The Family Guy. The Family Guy is kind of a funny one if you’re a fan of South Park, because not too long ago, South Park did an episode that totally ripped on The Family Guy.

A Wii bit of madness

I got a kick out of this. A sizable group of people camping outside the Best Buy in Almaden, waiting for the Wii. One group of guys had a tent with a projector and a Nintendo and were playing games to pass the time.

Rear-ended

On Saturday, at around 4:35 pm, we were on University Ave. in Palo Alto between High St. and Emerson St. when I saw a parking space open up. I slowed down and came to a stop and a few seconds later, the car behind us slammed into us.

No one was hurt, but my rear bumper sustained a bit of damage. The other guy’s car was fine.

I called my insurance company tonight – in theory, I should hear from the adjuster tomorrow.

Two CableCARDs – NOT

Looks like I spoke too soon. I could’ve sworn that we had each of the two tuners on a different HBO channel while the cable guy was here. Well, a few hours later, I could get tuner 2 to work with regular network channels but not with any premium channels. This is an improvement over the previous situation, but it’s still not right. Looks like I’m going to have to give Comcast another call…

Two CableCARDs

The Comcast guy just came by and swapped out our non-working CableCARD. He was probably here less than 10 minutes and now we have two working tuners that have access to all our channels. This is great! No more futzing around with the VCR when there are two things on.
