My PowerBook has been continually crashing in OS X. As a last ditch attempt at salvaging it (or proving beyond the shadow of a doubt that the hardware is bad), I’m running the PowerPC version of Ubuntu on it.

Not that I’m panicking at all :), but how long has this PowerBook been going for (and how often was it used)?
I don’t have a laptop at all atm, but I’m planning to get a MacBook next year with the release of Leopard…
