I’ve gone to the SD West conference a few times in the past and enjoyed a lot of the talks which are typically in a wide variety of areas of software development. While cleaning up my blog, I noticed that http://sdexpo.com/ now redirects to http://www.cloudconnectevent.com/.

That sucks, because I generally find “cloud computing” to be over-hyped and not all that interesting.

What happened to the old SD West? Where there were talks about Hadoop, but also about Java, C++, Python, Ruby, Design Patterns, etc…?
