We just got finished watching disc 1 of the first season of the FOX show Prison Break. While interesting, I don’t think I found it quite as gripping as 24 or Lost and I found the plot and the acting to be pretty far-fetched. In particular, the main character, Michael Scofield, is eerily intense and poised; almost robot-like. His poise and intensity rivals Jack Bauer on 24, but at least Jack Bauer is a seasoned governement agent; Michael Scofield is a structural engineer. The other robot on the show is the character Veronica Donovan, a lawyer who is fighting for Michael and his brother on the outside. This character also shows very little emotion and her facial expression is a perennial slight frown.
Still, some friends are addicted to the show and so I’m part inclined to rent the next disc and see if the show gets any better.
