Went to see Nina‘s a cappella group, The Special Guests tonight. Interestingly, the guy sitting in front of me was renowned Stanford computer scientist, Donald Knuth. My favorite song: “Africa” by Toto.

Yes, Marc, that was indeed Professor Knuth. I am his secretary (actually they call it Administrative Assistant now) and he has always been very supportive of my music. I’ve been working for him at the Computer Science Department for 6 years now, and he is a real music lover. Don’t know what he thought of the concert yet, but I expect he will tell me when he comes in this week.
