rgrep for TiVo Series 2

rgrep is a recursive grep program, written by the same author as the “most” pager and the jed text editor (in fact, it’s included in the jed distribution and source code). It does recursive greps and also highlighting (on an ANSI terminal) of your search term.

“most” is a pager, written by the same author as the jed text editor. It’s even better than “more” and “less”, offering color, split screens, left and right scrolling, and more.

I’ve been a fan of the jed text editor for a number of years. It’s one of the first programs I install on a new system and that’s why I really wanted to have it on my TiVo.

crontab for TiVo Series 2

I managed to find a working crond for my TiVo Series 2, but it didn’t come with a crontab command. Sure, I could just edit the files directly but old habits die hard and it was only a few lines of shell script.
