file (magic) for TiVo Series 2
This package contains the “file” utility and the associated “magic” database that allows you to identify the type of data in files.
rgrep for TiVo Series 2
rgrep is a recursive grep program, written by the same author as the “most” pager and the jed text editor (in fact, it’s included in the jed distribution and source code). It does recursive greps and also highlighting (on an ANSI terminal) of your search term.

I’ve been a fan of the jed text editor for a number of years. It’s one of the first programs I install on a new system and that’s why I really wanted to have it on my TiVo.
